Hello, I’m Abubakar Jamiu, a Project and Program Manager passionate about improving public health systems through data-driven innovation and collaborative program design. For about Four years, I’ve helped shape digital health programs that strengthen service delivery, expand immunization coverage, and improve financial transparency across Nigeria and other African countries. I bring together expertise in stakeholder management, Community engagement and sensitization, Advocacy and operational leadership across healthcare, technology, and banking sectors. 
 
Currently, I serve as the State Operations Lead – Account Manager at Elephant Healthcare, leading public health digitization projects across Niger, Abuja, and Kaduna States. I manage cross teams of 6 Field Account Executives and 12 Digital Champions to drive EHR adoption, ensure stakeholder alignment, and strengthen healthcare systems through efficient logistics, compliance, and financial oversight. 
 
My work has supported partnerships with Solina, BMGF, and CHAI. Prior to my transition into  health tech space, I already have 5 years working experience in the banking sector as an Account Manager.  building expertise in SME banking, customer engagement, and business growth. I’m passionate about using technology and innovation to enhance healthcare delivery, improve operations, and create lasting impact through effective leadership and collaboration.

My Work in Action
 

💻 Digital Health Transformation Across Seven States in Nigeria

Over the past four years, I have contributed to large-scale health system digitization initiatives across several Nigerian states. In the last two years, I have taken the lead role in these efforts, driving digitization projects across FCT, Kaduna, and Niger States. Through these initiatives, we successfully digitized more than 500 primary healthcare clinics and trained over 13,000 health workers, strengthening data reporting, patient management, and accountability across public health systems.


💉 Immunization Experiment - I led a digital transformation experiment that boosted immunization data capture from 2% to over 700%, achieving 62% alignment with the state’s DHIS system Niger State, Nigeria. Through process redesign and government collaboration, the project improved data accuracy and workflow efficiency across multiple facilities In 6 LGA in Niger state.

🤰 Safe Mama Project Pilot - Maternal Health Digital Initiative Designed and deployed a community-led maternal health intervention using digital tools and incentives to encourage antenatal visits and early registration. This project improved ANC attendance rates and enhanced maternal care monitoring within participating PHCs.

💳 HealthPay Project - Health Financing Innovation Helped develop a digital payment solution to streamline service payments in public facilities. The model improved financial transparency, reduced cash leakages, and made healthcare payments easier for patients.

📊 Program Dashboards
Work Closely with the Data Scientist to Create an interactive dashboards to track performance, adoption rates, and impact metrics across different projects. These tools turned field data into actionable insights for better decision-making.

🌍 Cross-Country Support
Collaborated with teams in Pakistan, Kenya, and Ghana, providing remote coordination, data reviews, and project optimization support to enhance digital-health adoption at scale.

🧭 What Drives My Work
I’m motivated by the belief that innovation in public health doesn’t have to be complex - it has to be effective.

I find deep satisfaction in turning real-world data and field challenges into scalable, evidence-based solutions that empower health workers and strengthen systems.
